My wife and I planned a family holiday to California for August 2024 and wanted to bring something special back to remember the trip. We decided to hire a professional photographer for a beach photoshoot.
Being over 5,000 miles away from West London, UK, searching for and communicating with photographers was a challenge, especially with the time difference. I reached out to over 20 photographers via email, detailing our brief and preferred date and time for the shoot. From the very start, our conversation with Dana Rubin was exceptional. Her vision, attention to detail, and responsiveness were first-class.
We agreed on the timing, taking into account the lighting—something we hadn't initially considered. On the day of the shoot, Dana was well prepared. She provided blankets for us to lay on the beach and broughttoys to engage our young children.
She also took us to different areas for a variety of shots, making the experience enjoyable.
Getting our children to look at the camera was a challenge, but Dana was incredibly understanding and patient. When we returned home, we had a follow-up call to review the images and select the ones for editing.
The end result was amazing, and the response from our family was fantastic when we shared the photos.
